Very comfortable and clean!! Couldn't get the tvs to work but not a big deal.

The Good: Nice ski slope views. The facility is getting ready to open a Bar & Grill in the front reception area, which should be a nice feature. The pool, hot tub, sauna and gym areas were pretty nice, clean and well maintained.

The Bad: 2403 is an older unit and NOT updated. Wallpaper coming off the walls in multiple areas and everything is very "dated and worn". Unlike many VRBO rentals, there were no dishwasher pods or laundry pods in unit. No travel shampoo/conditioner, etc. So, if staying in 2403, bring your own materials. The fireplace in the unit is not available for use, but with windy conditions it was very loud, even though it is supposedly "capped". The exterior sliding doors to balcony would not open. Not sure, but those may be locked intentionally.

Although it was 12 degrees outside upon arrival, we had NO hot water in the unit the first evening. On Day 2, I located the electrical panel and found the breaker was off. Once the breaker was on, hot water was okay.

I stayed in this unit for 3 nights while looking to purchase a condo at Sugar Top. This unit is not updated or kept in the same condition as many of the other units that are available to rent. The pictures look better than reality.

Check In / Out: I arrived in Banner Elk at 5:45 PM on Wednesday and picked up check-in material from a drop box because the management office was closed. Sugar Top staff was pleasant and welcoming. I checked out at 10:30 AM on Saturday morning, also via drop box because the office was closed. It was during a winter storm advisory, so I don't have any issues with the rental office not being open.

This particular unit was the least expensive I found for 3 nights while I reviewed the facility. I will be back to Sugar Top because the stay was impacted by a winter storm that came through. The check-in and check-out process was painful. There is no long term parking at the building for guests. Everyone that is checking in has to wait at the gate for one of a few parking spots to open to drive up to the building and checkin and unload. I checked in on a Tuesday and I had to WAIT OVER AN HOUR for a parking spot. We then had to park in a lot down past the gate and take a shuttle back and forth each time we left the building. The wait for a parking spot to checkout was also a long wait.
The room was nice as were the pool and hot tubs. But I will not stay here again. The lesson I learned here is to verify onsite parking the next time I consider a vacation rental.

The condo was relatively clean, but very outdated. The place was large and the kitchen was equipped with basic items. The view was nice, overlooking the slopes.

We had a blast at our condo in the sky! Very clean and close to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. Great place to cook with all amenities that we needed! Even movies that we had not seen and enjoyed!! The only negative that I found was the aggravation of not having your car accessible outside the building. We had to take a van to the car that we had to park down the hill.

Comfortable, well stocked kitchen. Condo's are older but in good shape. Would stay again.

The condo is spacious and inviting. The pool is nice and large with warm water and a hot tub. The hosts were very helpful and clear with instruction. The slopes are a short tram ride or walk from the slopes. My family had a great experience.

this isn't the Ritz but comfortable, convenient, clean and a good value for the cost.

This condo fit our family of 4 perfectly. There’s even a pull out sofa for one or two more people. Showers were hot. Keurig coffee maker available. Parking at the bottom of the hill was inconvenient but the shuttle drivers were great.
